Earnest Levett Reed

Pastor Earnerst Levett Reed was born August 11, 1958 to the late John H. and Annie R. Reed in Troup County, Georgia. He attended East Depot High School and graduated from West Georgia Technical College. While in Jr. High School, Earnest began is work career at Jimmy Keith Milk Dairy. In addition he worked for Sidney Evans for 30-plus years; and the City of LaGrange where he retired after 23 years of service. On Sunday, December 6, 2015, he departed this life at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Ann Washington. He leaves behind two sons, Jeffrey Jerome (Angela) Hearn, Tracey Jerome Hearn; three daughters, Sharon Jean Hearn, Connie Jean Hearn, and Elease Denee Reed, one brother, Sammie Lee Reed; one sister, Lorraine Hardnett, all of LaGrange, GA; 16 grandchildren including special grandson, Quentavious Carlisle; special granddaughters, Tychena Hearn and Shaniya Reed; and Alphonzia, JaCorey, Montavious Bray, Tychena. TyKeonna, DreQuan, Jabraylin, Tyesha, Tracy Hearn, Jr. Khloe Hearn, Shaniya Reed, Jamarkus, Brittany Freeman, Jakierra Blackmon, Tradarious Brown, Alissa and Amaya Ware, Allen Washington, best friend, Norman Williams; special friends, Juanita Hearn and Anita Humphrey; and a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. The Celebration of Life Service was held on Friday at 1:00 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Stinson officiated.
