Mary Anne Andersen
Mrs. Mary Anne Andersen, age 79, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Newnan, Georgia native was a member of Springfield United Methodist Church. She was a singer, water skier, traveler, and garage sale deal maker aficionado. She is survived by her children, Jeff Smith (Carol), Jan Davis (Joey), Gail Stark (Ron), Chris Andersen (Beth), Robin Andersen-Davis (Bobby), Joan Dillon (Rick), Janet Adame (Javier), and Craig Andersen (Shere); fifteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February, 24, at Springfield United Methodist Church. The family received friends at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Springfield from 6 until 8 Thursday night. The graveside service will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. Johnson E. Walker
Mr. Johnson E. “Bubba” Walker, age 61, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Mr. Walker was born October 29, 1955, in Hogansville, son of the late Alvie Lee Walker and Gladys Bowman Walker. A former resident of Douglasville, he was a graduate of Hogansville High School, lived in Hogansville most of his life, and was employed by Mando America Corporation. He was Baptist by faith, was a loving husband, father, and Paw-Paw, and truly had a heart of gold. His joy was camping and fishing at the river with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Walker of Hogansville; his children and their spouses, Kyle and Melissa Walker of Villa Rica, Brent Walker and Trey Walker both of Douglasville, Shane and Mekia Womack of Woodland, AL, Scott and Shannon Shead of Carrollton; fifteen grandchildren; a great-grandson; brother, Scottie Walker of Hogansville; several nieces and nephews, including Cindy Walker Taylor who Bubba and Debbie helped raise; and his former wife, Sherrie Walker of Douglasville who is the mother of Kyle, Brent and Trey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Darlene Calhoun and Susie Walker; and his uncle, Melvin Bowman, who played a key part in his life. A memorial service and gathering will be held Saturday afternoon, February 25, on family property located on the Chattahoochee River near Franklin. Richard Lee Davis
Richard Lee Davis, age 63, of LaGrange, passed away on February 18, 2017. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Doris Patrick and Remelius Davis. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Billie Davis; his sons, William Paul Davis and Ricky Davis; his daughters, Wendy Stephens, Melissa Davis, and Angie Davis; his brothers, Robert Shore, David Shore, Johnny Shore, and Lewis Shore; his sisters, Mona Hill, Betty Pike, and Rhonda Britt; his grandchildren, Noah, Ashlyn, and Bentley and he had numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lonnie B. Mitchell
Lonnie B. Mitchell was born February 15, 1963 to Johnnie Lou Mitchell and the late, James C. Mitchell in Meriwether County, Georgia. He was a man who loved his family, loved those who loved him back, and he absolutely loved watching and talking about football and any other sports. He loved to hang around and talk to his brothers. He was dearly loved by his mother, siblings, many nieces, nephews, and friends. On Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at WellStar West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia, Lonnie B. Mitchell quietly and peacefully departed this life on his 54th birthday. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother, Johnnie Lou Mitchell; two sisters, Linda (Casey) Dean and Angela Harris, both of LaGrange, GA; six brothers, Willie James Terry, Greenville, SC; Derrick Mitchell, James (Delondia) Mitchell, Jr., Ronnie Mitchell, Jimmy Mitchell, and Horace Cofield, Jr., all of LaGrange, GA; three aunts, Stella William, Doris Carreker, and Inez Mitchell; special friends, Bobby Mitchell, Lucas Davidson, Raymond Davidson, and Chris Harold; 26 nieces and nephews; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, and friends.

Royice L. Willis
Mr. Royice L. Willis, of LaGrange, GA passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2107 at his residence. On Saturday, February 11, 2017, the angels of death visited the home of Royice Willis and taken him for our midst. Our hearts are filled with sorrow, be we know after so much pain and suffering that God took him from all of his pain to a place where there is no pain, no suffering, no burdens to bear, no tears to shed.
Royice was born on August 31, 1937 in Chambers County, AL to the late Annie Ruth and Karie Putmon, Sr. He was of the Baptist faith. Royice received his education in the Chambers County School System. After school, he enlisted in the US Army, where he served his country faithfully. During Royice’s earlier years, he worked as a lifeguard at the Ogletree Rec. Center. In later years, he was employed by Smokey Craft Boat Company where he remained until his retirement. Royice spent his leisure time racing his race car and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed watching wrestling on television. He truly loved his family and friends. Royice was preceded in death by a brother, Karie Putmon, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife, Christine Willis, LaGrange, GA; a daughter, Dr. Patricia W. Singleton, Albany, GA; a son, Deon Willis, LaGrange, GA; four grandchildren, Phillip(Likita) Robinson, Albany, GA, Alexis(Sceon)Rowe, Virginia Beach, VA, Korbin and Kizer Willis, LaGrange, GA; great grandchildren, Mason and Harley Robinson, Albany, GA; Kaydence and Kauri Rowe, Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers, Arthur Putmon, LaGrange, GA, Carl Putmon, Minneapolis, MN; three sister, Thelma (Eddie) Jones, Laverne (Albert) Elmore, Minnie (John) Burts, LaGrange, GA; sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. The funeral service was held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, LaGrange, GA at 2:00 pm, on Friday, February 17, 2017. Burial was held in Southview Cemetery, LaGrange, GA. Ministers Dr. Van Shrieves, Pastor, Apostle Louis C. Trammell, Eulogist, Rev. Michael Stinson, officiated.
