Mr. Rodney Garrison
Mr. Homer Rodney Garrison, 74, of Roanoke, Alabama, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Garrison was born January 2, 1943, in Hogansville, son of the late James Homer Garrison and Sybil Sheets Garrison. A 1961 graduate of Hogansville High School, he served in the U.S. Air Force in England and France and retired from Atlanta Nisseki Ciaf, Inc. He had lived in Randolph County, Alabama since 1993 and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Garrison enjoyed reading and watching television, but especially loved anything technical or mechanical and had subscribed to Popular Mechanics for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his daughters, Donna Merrill and Melissa Garrison, both of LaGrange; brothers, Danny Garrison of Leland, NC, Steve Garrison of Cumming, Dennis Garrison of Ft. Pierce, FL; and grandchildren, Alyssa Brazil, Bridget Brazil, Mekenzie Merrill, and Mollie Spradlin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Anderson.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Dr. Lamar Truitt will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night.

Mr. Carol Eugene “Gene” Davis, of LaGrange, passed away on May 23, 2017 at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. Mr. Davis was born in Hannibal, Missouri on April 9, 1941, the son of the late George Washington Davis and Nellie Maye McKinzie Davis. Formerly from the Kansas City, Missouri area, his career spanned forty years in the paint, building supplies, and floor covering industries. Gene was a member of the First Methodist Church of LaGrange. He didn’t know a stranger and was considered a friend by everyone he met. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sylvia Davis of LaGrange; son, Richard Eugene Davis and his wife Elaine and their two children, Alexander and Katrina Davis of Olathe, Kansas. He is also survived by his daughter, Adelle Weeks and her husband Brian of LaGrange. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the First United Methodist Church of LaGrange. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel, with friends and family joining at the home following the service conclusion. Tina Whearley McDonnell, age 46 of LaGrange, Ga., passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Hamilton, Ga., with Bro. Richard “Poncho” Hampson officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Tina was born January 27, 1971 in Waco, Texas, the daughter of Goree Watson Whearley and Rebecca Jean Adcock Daigrepont. She was a 1989 graduate of Harris County High School and was an avid Auburn football fan. Tina loved her family and friends and enjoyed hosting family gatherings. She was a friend to everyone and was always willing to help anyone in need. Above all, she was a loving mother to her children.
Survivors include her two children, Anna McDonnell and Zachary McDonnell, both of Beauregard, Alabama; her mother, Rebecca Jean Daigrepont of LaGrange, Ga.; her father, Goree Watson Whearley of Waco, Texas; three brothers, Patrick Whearley (Glynis) of Hamilton, Ga., Richard “Poncho” Hampson (Brandie) of Franklin, Ga., and Garrett Pressley of LaGrange; several nieces and nephews; and two very close friends, Ann Buchanan and Kendra Tippins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Georgia Hospice, 1510 Vernon Rd. LaGrange, Ga. 30240.

Mrs. Renea Adams Clark, age 45, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Mrs. Clark was born in Phenix City, Alabama on August 18th, 1971.
She was a graduate of Valley High School and received an Associates Degree and other certifications from Southern Union Community College.
Renea was a very compassionate, loving, and sweet lady who would do anything she could to help others. Her compassion and disposition demonstrated that she had a big heart for family, friends, and each person that she met. She could light up a room with her presence and her personality. She was considered an angel to her family and friends. Her most notable achievement in life was being a great mother to her children.
Renea loved the beach and meeting other people. She never met a stranger.
She worked and served in many different capacities at West Point Industries.
Renea is survived by her husband, Keith Clark, Valley; her son, Sebastian Clark, Valley; mother and father-in-law, Lynn and Gerald “Pop”, as she called him, Clark; her mother and father, Linette and Joel Richard Adams, Valley; daughter, Amanda Conaway Woodson, Beauregard; son, Jeremy Conaway, Valley; sisters, Susan Wood, Virginia “Sissy” (Sean) Jeppesen, Texas, Darlene (Rickey) Billingsley, Valley; very special friend and considered a sister too, Kristi Pruitt; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 27th, 2017 at 2:00P.M. EDT at the Happy Valley Baptist Church with interment following in Fairfax Cemetery. The Reverend John Samani officiating. Her family will be receiving friends at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley Friday evening from 6:00P.M. EDT until 8:00P.M. EDT.
