Dr. Albert Charles (Chuck) Myers
Dr. Albert Charles (Chuck) Myers, age 92, of LaGrange, Georgia passed away on June 15, 2017 at the WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.  Chuck was born in Huntington, West Virginia on November 23, 1924 to the late Hayward Earl Myers and Edith Ferguson Myers.  He was also the husband of the late Marjorie Hagan Myers.

Chuck was a retired Podiatrist who was an active member of the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.  He enjoyed playing golf and playing cards with his buddies at Highland Country Club, LaGrange where he was a member since the 1950’s.  Chuck served in both the Korean War and World War ll.  Survivors include his sons, Richard Myers (Linda) of LaGrange, GA and Michael Myers (Anne) of Albany GA; grandchildren, Paige Myers Woody, R. Trevor Myers, Justin Myers, Ryan Myers; 9 great grandchildren; long time loving friend, Linda Christian.

A graveside service for Chuck Myers will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 starting at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Richard G. “Ricky” Bulloch
Richard Gary “Ricky” Bulloch, 57, of Thomaston, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be 6:00 pm, Friday, June 16, 2017 at the chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Manchester with Rev. Tommy Smith officiating.

Ricky was born July 5, 1959 in Warm Springs, the son of Maxie C. Bulloch and Jeanette O’Hearn Bulloch. He attended Southern Crescent Technical College where he earned his degree in welding and joining technology. Ricky spent 35 years working for his family’s construction business with his father and his brother, Craig. He also served in the National Guard as a demolitions expert. Ricky enjoyed fishing and gardening and was always good about staying in touch with his family and friends. His favorite pass time was spending time with his granddaughter, Kallie. Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette O’Hearn Bulloch.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Bairentine Bulloch of Thomaston; his father, Maxie C. Bulloch of Manchester; his children, Justin Cockrell of Warm Springs, Laken (Chris) Waddell of Woodbury, Haley (Michael) Funderburk of Columbus, Caiman Bulloch of Thomaston; three brothers, Craig (Tammy) Bulloch of Manchester, Waylon Neil (Emy) Bulloch of Cairo, Egypt, Sean (Jodi) Bulloch of Phenix City, AL; one sister, Natalie (George) Thomas of Manchester and one granddaughter, Kallie Waddell of Woodbury.

Velma Knight Albright Nolan
Funeral services for Velma Knight Albright Nolan, age 91, of Wadley, will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017, at 11:00 AM from Corinth Christian Church with Rev. Ricky Cummings, Rev. Johnny Bishop, and Rev. Tim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Christian Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, June 15, 2017.

Mrs. Nolan passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at her residence.
Survivors include: her husband, Charles Nolan; two daughters, Judy Kay Albright Thompson (Derryl) of Hackneyville, AL and Shirley Ann Albright Bunn of Wedowee, AL; daughter-in-law, Gaynelle Albright of Alex City, AL; four sons, Ronald Jackson Albright (Cindy) of Goodwater, AL, Bruce Wayne Albright (Tara) of Wadley, AL, Roger Allen Albright (Cheryl) of Wadley, AL, and George David Albright (Nancy) of Alex City, AL; eighteen grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsie Knight Perry of Roanoke; five brothers, Ezra “Buddy” Knight of Alex City, AL, Clifford Knight of Roanoke, AL, Billy Knight (Mary) of Wadley, AL, Franklin Knight of Roanoke, AL, and Manley Knight (Judy) of Cragford, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Mike Bunn, Raymond Albright, Colby Albright, Chris Albright, Jimmy Albright, and Walt Albright.

A Roanoke native, Mrs.  Nolan was born on May 10, 1926, the daughter of Dowell Harlin Knight and Eva Bernice Hester Knight. Mrs. Nolan lived most of her life in Wadley (Corinth South) Alabama.  On September 25, 1943, she married her late husband, George Leabern Albright. Mrs. Nolan married Charles Nolan on January 20, 1974. She was a member of Corinth Christian Church and former member of Beulah Christian Church in Wadley, AL.  Mrs. Nolan worked for Handley Mills, Clegg Manufacturing, and Playtex Corporation.  She loved and enjoyed her family and friends.  Her hobbies included quilting and taking care of her flowers. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, George Leabern Albright; son, Jimmy Lamar Albright; son-in-law, Arthur Bunn; sister, Denia Knight Screws; brothers, Emory Knight, R.L. Knight, and Tony Knight; sisters-in-law, Clemen Knight, Sara Knight, and Waydene Knight Taylor; brother-in-law, Claude Lee Screws; nephews, Randy Knight and Andy Knight.

Virginia Ann Bowen Taylor
Mrs. Virginia Ann Bowen Taylor, 73, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017, at her home.
Born September 10, 1943 in LaGrange, Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Rudie and Hazel McClain Bowen. She was resident of Hogansville most of her life before moving to LaGrange in 2005, worked for RAM Manufacturing, and was a member of Higher Dimensions Ministries.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Shawn Powers, Jr. of LaGrange and Sheena and Stephen Gamblin of Newnan; 2 great-grandchildren, Cayden and Evelyn Gamblin; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, William Harris Taylor and her daughter, Hazel Taylor Powers.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 17, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor Shawn Powers officiated and interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
