Nell Rachell Dowell

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7  Nell Rachel “Virginia” Dowell, affectionately known as “Gin” was the eighth child of ten children born to the late Emmett and Mildred Boykin on October 13, 1947 in Bremen, Georgia. She was educated in the Heard County School system and received her GED from West Georgia Technical College. She accepted Christ at an early age at the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Newnan, Georgia. She later became a member of the New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, LaGrange. Nell was united in Holy Matrimony to Deacon Walter Lee Dowell, Sr. on September 14, 1975; a union that lasted until he passed away on March 11, 2014. She had a generous and loving spirit. She would give her last to anyone in need. Nell loved church and it gave her so much joy to pass candy to all the children she came in contact with.
