Man Charged with Trafficking Meth in Multi-Month Narcotics Investigation

Narcotics Investigators with the LaGrange Police Department have charged a man with trafficking meth as a result of an extensive investigation.

Thursday night about 9:30 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit arrested Andrew “Andy” Stone as the result of a multi-month investigation into the trafficking of methamphetamine.

Police say that Stone was arrested and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine after a traffic stop on Sylvan Drive where he was found to be in possession of approximately 5 ounces of crystal methamphetamine.

According to police, Stone has been involved in the trafficking of methamphetamine for an extended period of time and his arrest is the result of an extensive investigation.

Stone has since been transported to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office where he is awaiting being booked into the jail where he was booked on the offense of Trafficking Methamphetamine.

Drug investigators say that additional charges and arrests of other individuals are pending at this time as a result of this investigation.

This case is still under investigation by the LaGrange Police Department.
