Recently an article ran asking the community to come together to help an elderly LaGrange native woman named Miss. Ruby who needed help cleaning and clearing her yard and having a fenced enclosure built so that her two dogs, Rosie and Hannah, have a safe environment to run and play.

Evie Kettler from Paws 4 Chainge reached out to us to get Miss. Ruby the helped she needed. Paws 4 Chainge is a non-profit organization that relies on volunteers and donations to help pet owners in need and promote how to be a responsible pet owner. Paws 4 Chainge also want to educate people on spade and neutering your animals to reduce over population. They also provide fenced enclosures and other basic animal supplies for those in need of them.

The clean up for Miss Ruby took place over this past Saturday and at least twenty volunteers showed up to help clear the yard. Her yard has been completely cleared and is ready for the fenced enclosure to be built. We would like to thank all the volunteers that took their time to come out and help. It is a wonderful sight to see the community to come together for the benefit of one another. Putting in your time and effort to help Miss. Ruby is going to make a huge change in the lives of her and her dogs.

Now that the yard has been cleared, the next step is for the fence enclosure to be built. The fence enclosure building is to take place on July 20 at 10:00 a.m. Any volunteers that would like to help with the build can do so by contacting Evie Kettler at Paws 4 Chainge at 706-333-7101.

Thank you to all of the volunteers that came together to help Miss Ruby clear her yard for her dogs.
