Family Fun at “Fall Daze”

Family Fun at “Fall Daze”

Visitors to Oakhurst Farm in West Point enjoyed a sunluscious Sunday afternoon, as the farm’s owners hosted the last day of this year’s “Fall Daze,” with pumpkin picking, hay rides, mini-pig races, and lots of family fun and games.

Morgan Marlowe, whose father owns the 250-acre farm, said they’d had about 700 to 800 visitors every weekend throughout October. In addition to rubber duck races, a petting corral, and doubletube slide, youngsters also had the chance to tour the farm in a barrel train or ride a hay wagon around the green fields. For many children, it was their first chance to see pumpkins growing on a vine and to pick one out of a patch, rather than a store.

Oakhurst Farm Fall Daze is an annual event, so if you missed this year’s, you can look forward to next.
