Police Investigating Robbery Outside LaGrange Bank

Police are investigating an incident where a woman was robbed at gunpoint outside a bank in Downtown LaGrange over the weekend.

Saturday night about 9:23 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the BB& T Bank on Broad Street in reference to an Armed Robbery at an automatic teller machine.

Officers arrived and met with the female, who stated she was robbed by two unknown males while attempting to make a deposit.

The victim stated she was depositing her money into the ATM when the two assailants approached her. One of the males then pointed a handgun at her and stated, “we need all of your money.” The males then took the money she was putting into the ATM and ran towards Vernon Street.

The LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigations Section has since responded and initiated an investigation. This incident remains under investigation.

The suspects were described as two young black males, in their midtwenties, standing 5 foot 11 inches tall, both with a thin build.
