Winner Selected for CASA Raffle

Over the weekend, the Blue Knights motorcycle club drew the winner of their annual Christmas raffle benefiting the kids of Troup CASA. Local resident, Robert Stewart, was selected at random out of a thousand tickets to win a 50cc motor scooter donated by L& L Motors on Lafayette Parkway in La- Grange.

Robert is an Iraq war Army veteran and came by to pick up the scooter with his son, Joshua, and wife, Janieka, and their threeweek- old daughter, Breanna. Robert says he and Joshua have already been tearing up the roads, enjoying the new scooter.

All of the proceeds from the raffle went to purchase Christmas toys for foster families overseen by the local Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA). CASA is a non-government nonprofit agency that advocates for the best interest of Troup and Heard counties’ abused and neglected children involved in juvenile court deprivation proceedings.

The Blue Knights are a non-profit fraternal organization consisting of active and retired law enforcement officers who enjoy riding motorcycles.
