Tuesday morning about 9:50 a.m., Troup County Deputies were called to the 1400 block of South Stateline Road in reference to reports of a subject who had been shot.
Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and found a 47-year-old male who appeared to have a single gunshot wound to his right chest area. The victim was subsequently transported via ambulance to a Columbus hospital for emergency treatment.
Deputies learned from the victim that that two unknown white males forcefully entered his residence and shot him, before taking some items from his home and stealing his vehicle.
