Police Investigating Violent Attempted Robbery

LaGrange Police are investigating an alleged attempted robbery where the victim was stabbed overnight Saturday.

Early Sunday morning about 3:20 a.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center in reference to reports of a person who had been stabbed.

Police arrived and made contact with the male victim, who was being treated for several stab wounds.

The victim told police that he had been stabbed by two male subjects who approached him in the parking lot of the Laurel Crossing Apartment complex and attempted to rob him.

The victim was treated for his injuries and has since been released from the hospital.

No description of the unknown assailants was provided by police.

This incident is still under investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.
