William Roscoe Cooper
Mr. William Roscoe Cooper, 81, of LaGrange passed away Friday night at Wellstar Hospice LaGrange. Mr. Cooper was born February 26, 1938 in Benton county Tennessee, the son of the late Marvin Roscoe Cooper and Mrs. Ida Grissom Cooper. Mr. Cooper was retired as a Construction superintendent for Capital City Concrete. Survivors include: his wife Paula Cooper, LaGrange, GA Children: William R. (Carol) Cooper, Jr. Pontiac, IL, Harold Lee Cooper, Blairsville, GA, Virgil Leroy (Jean) Cooper, Warner Robbins, GA, Natally R. Cooper, Nevada, Denevia Ruth (Matthew) Pyles, LaGrange, Ga, William Andrew (Christina) Cooper, Lucedale, MS, Robbie (Melinda) Williams, Pine Mountain, GA (son of the heart) Noel Damron, LaGrange, GA, 21 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Funeral Services for Mr. William Roscoe Cooper was held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel where the Reverend Hunt Slade officiated The family will received friends at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 10 A.M. until the service hour of 11:00 A.M. Lois Pauline Rochell Miller
Mrs. Lois Pauline Rochell Miller, age 80, of LaGrange, passed away on May 27, 2019 at WellStar West Georgia Hospice. Mrs. Miller was born on July 12, 1938 in Elkmont, Alabama. In addition to her parents, Pink Green Rochell and Carrielene Hargrove Rochell, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee Miller; son in law, Chuck McGilvray and great grandson, Austin Shaddix. Mrs. Miller retired from the Troup County Board of Education as a paraprofessional. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with Preacher Tommy Thomas and Brother Phil Slay officiating. Interment will follow at Meadoway Gardens. Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel Funeral Home. Survivors include her daughters, Shari Lynn McGilvray and Connie Lee Shelnutt (Bruce); grandchildren, Jason Jenkins (Buffy), Melissa Hinson (Ronald) and Tyler Shelnutt; great grandchildren, Peyton Jenkins, Miley Hinson, Alex Hinson and Braxton Shelnutt; great great grandchild, Mackenzie Shaddix; extended family and friends.

Mr. Kenneth E. Manz was born on September 23, 1961 in LaGrange to the late James Joseph Manzi and Joan Morris Manzi Allen. He worked for LaGrange Seafood. Family memorial services will be held. Shaw Ryan Johnson
Shawn Ryan Johnson, 28, of Luthersville, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center. Shawn was born September 4, 1990 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and worked for Jeff McCoy Construction and Grading in Luthersville. Shawn loved the outdoors and spending time with his son. He was always helping people and would do anything to make them happy. He will always be remembered as having a heart of gold. Survivors include his son Ayden Johnson of McDonough; mother and stepfather, Connie and Roger Johnston of Luthersville; father and his fiancé, Don Johnson and Dot Gray of McDonough; brothers and sister in-law, Keith Johnson of Thomaston and Brian and Kristian Johnson of McDonough; and his son’s mother, Brie Avery of McDonough. A memorial service was conducted 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Randall Hodge officiating.
Margaret Pitts Barnett
Mrs. Margaret Vonciel Barnett, 86, of Moreland, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019, at Avalon Health and Rehabilitation Center in Newnan. Mrs. Barnett was born September 28, 1932, in LaGrange, daughter of the late George Ollie Pitts and Hixie Irene Segrest Pitts. A resident of Coweta County most of her life, she was a homemaker and was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Moreland. Survivors include her husband, Harold Barnett of Moreland; daughter and son in-law, Sylvia and Tommy Yeager of Newnan; sons and daughters in-law, Tom and Cindy Barnett, Allen and Janet Barnett, all of Moreland; grandchildren, Marvin Yeager, Lesley Yeager, Errin Beard and her husband Daniel, Andrew Barnett and his wife Jessica, and Kyle Lovell; great-grandchildren, Makenzie Barnett and Liam Barnett. The funeral service was conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend David Arrington and the Reverend Mike Holdredge officiated and interment was in the Barnett Family Cemetery.
