REBOOT Recovery Offers Help and Trauma Healing for Combat Veterans and First Responders
The REBOOT Recovery program is a Christian faith-based, clinical course that offers transformation of lives, healing and hope for combat veterans, first responders, and their families who suffer from the affects of trauma. Since its founding in 2011, REBOOT Recovery has become a global program that has proven successful in helping people who are hurting to regain control of their lives and reduce the extensive range of symptoms of post traumatic stress. Thousands of people have experienced restoration of their lives through this amazing program. To date, over 7,800 participants have graduated from the program.
Through the groundbreaking REBOOT trauma healing courses; participants and their families have the opportunity to enjoy a meal at a table each week, where they find unconditional acceptance and welcome. The courses are peer-led and private. The program is entirely sponsor funded and offered at zero cost to participants. Course materials, meals, and childcare are provided.
The REBOOT program in LaGrange recently graduated 4 participants who have successfully completed the 12 week course. Participants, who follow the program, acquire the tools to recognize the roots of their trauma, find restoration, and go forward to begin healthy habits and routines. Stacy Hummer, facilitator and ambassador for REBOOT Recovery, stated; “What an opportunity to walk through this course and see lives changed, and even when things are not spoken, you see lives changed.” Stacy shared powerful testimonies that were written by each the graduates at the recent ceremony.
Members of the Troup High Jr. ROTC gave a solemn and remarkable performance of the poem, “An Empty Table”. The poem symbolizes the empty chair and the table where a fallen soldier once sat at meals with their family. A place was set in honor and memory for each branch of our military.

It’s no secret that many of our veterans have returned home with emotional, physical, and spiritual wounds of war. Likewise, our first responders are affected daily by the stressful situations they face. A great number of these men and women are dealing with the impact of fear, frustration, anger, and brokenness. They and their families carry the burdens of the consequences of the strain often experienced in the line of duty. Through REBOOT Recovery, these devoted men and women can regain control of their lives and heal. Completing the 12 weeks of the reboot recovery course demands dedication, hard work and courage to begin, however the benefits are life changing for everyone who completes the course.
