Tamey H. Hill
Mr. Tamey H. Hill, 61, of LaGrange, GA passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Hill was born February 1, 1958, son of the late Savilla Alto Runels Hill. He worked for a number of years with Milliken and Company as a Weaver. Mr. Hill attended Loyd Presbyterian Church. He loved corvettes, riding horses and was one of the last true “Cowboys”. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Eugene Hill and grandmother, Jessie Mae Runels. Survivors include his brothers, Bobby Hill and Phillip (Susie) Fergerson; sister, Linda Davis; special niece, Christina (Chris) Zolomy; numerous other nieces, nephews; the mother of his son, Sandra Hall; other relatives and friends. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 2:00pm with Rev. Dr. Rix Threadgill officiating.

Deion Lamorris Dean
Mr. Deion Lamorris Dean was born May 22, 1992 in LaGrange, Georgia, the youngest of two sons born to Russell Dean and Donnie Elaine Alford Dean. At a young age, he united with Zion Hill Baptist Church, Troup. He grew up a very obedient child, he was very smart and enjoyed learning. Deion was educated in Troup County and graduated from Troup High School, Class of 2010. He went on to attend Columbus State University. He began his career at S. E. Wireless and American Home Shield in LaGrange, Georgia. Upon relocating to Memphis, Tennessee; he became employed by Regions Bank. While residing in Memphis, his upbringing led him to seek out a new Worship location and he decided on Saint Andrews AME Church and served under the leadership of Pastor Byron D. Moore. Deion’s first love was traveling. Other hobbies included Art, reading, and technology. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club; and worked diligently with the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra. Our beloved Deion departed this life while vacationing. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Lee Morris and Arnetha Alford and Mr. and Mrs. William and Mattie Dean. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Donnie Elaine Dean; father, Russell Dean; big brother, Spencer Dean; uncles: Joe (Lunell) Alford, Jerome Alford, Rev. Bruce (Rose) Alford, Leroy Dean, Jimmy Dean, Michael Dean, Charlie Strickland; aunts: Arnetha (Thomas) Shipman, Ethel Tucker, Mattie Ruth Bell, Erma (Gregory) Foster, and Dorothy Howard; and an array of cousins, great aunts, great uncles, special friends, and relatives. The Celebration of Life Service was held Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Rev. B. Bruce Alford officiated. Interment followed at the Church Cemetery.

Ruth Clark Johns
Mrs. Ruth Clark Johns, 65, of Grantville, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Mrs. Johns was born August 5, 1954, in Coweta County, daughter of the late Render Terrell Clark and Ruby Smith Clark. A resident of Coweta County most of her life, she was employed at West Georgia RESA prior to her retirement and was a member of Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Ruth had centered her life around her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Bob Johns of Grantville; daughter and son in-law, Crystal and Barry Boyd of Grantville; son and daughter in-law, Render and Zephie Freeman of Newnan; step-daughter, Rev. Dr. Shannon Karafanda and her husband John of Peachtree City; sister and brother in-law, Colleen and Roy Thompson of Hogansville; grandchildren, Stephen and Addie Boyd, Alex Boyd, Holly and Nic Hyatt, Matthew Boyd, Brighton Freeman, Bennett Freeman, Brooks Freeman, Adelyn Freeman, Lyndee Freeman, John Karafanda, Shane Karafanda,
Dori Karafanda; and great-grandchildren, Baylee and Asher. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Buster Clark and Terrell Clark. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Rev. Jay Moore and Render Freeman will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery.
