William Lamar McRae

William Lamar McRae, of LaGrange, passed away on March 16, 2020. He was born in Hogansville, Georgia to the late Melvin McRae and Annie Mae McDaniel McRae on March 10, 1945. In addition to his parents, Mr. McRae is preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia Scott McRae and his brothers, Donald McRae, Harvey McRae, and C.J. McRae. Mr. McRae is survived by his daughter and son in law, Kim Stearns and Danny Stearns; his granddaughter and her husband Brittany McRae Foxworth and Kevin Foxworth; his great grandson, Ayden Spivey and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at Higgins LaGrange Chapel at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2020. Pastor Lanny Sledge will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Private interment service will be held.

Mrs. Angelia Denise Fenn

Mrs. Angelia Denise Fenn, of LaGrange, passed away on March 14, 2020. She was born in LaGrange on December 17, 1965 to the late Bobby Winfred Shelnutt Sr. and Louise Pitts Shelnutt. In addition to her parents, Angie is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Lester Fenn and her brothers, Danny Madison Shelnutt and Randall Steven Shelnutt. Angie will be remembered by the love she had for her family, the joy she found in music and concerts, and her love of painting and hiding rocks. She was a member of Three Life Church in LaGrange. Angie is survived by her daughters, Amber Louise Fenn, Melissa Fenn Hodge (Wesley Hodge), Emily Kate Fenn and Macy Leigh Fenn (Jacob Gill); her son, Billy Michael Fenn; her brothers, Bobby Winfred Shelnutt Jr. (Rowena) and Timothy Lee Shelnutt (Kristy); her sister, Donna Shelnutt Cox (Fred); her grandchildren, Iris Elizabeth Hodge and Sylvan Oliver Hodge. The funeral service was held at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 1 p.m. The Family will received friends from 11 a.m. until service time on Thursday. The committal service directly followed the funeral and was held at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange.

John Kearney Scully

John Kearney Scully, 61, of Pine Mountain passed away Sunday March 15, at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be announced later. Please visit this website for updates. John was born January 7, 1959 in Bluefield, WV, the son of the late John K. Scully, Sr. and Shelby Hurley Scully. He worked as a restaurant and bar manager before getting involved in real estate. John was a GA State Certified Residential Appraiser and a REALTOR®. He has worked in Harris County and the surrounding areas for 15 years. He was the 2019 President of the Columbus Board of REALTORS® and was just recently named REALTOR® of the Year for 2019. He has served as a Regional Director of the Georgia Association of REALTORS® and on many of their committees including 2020 Chair of the Georgia Association Conference Committee. John was a member of River of Life Church and had served as their lead usher and previously on the finance committee and the church council. One of his greatest accomplishments was his sobriety of 29 years. John is survived by his wife, Lisa Scully of Pine Mountain; his sister, Stacey Scully Collins and her husband, Bill and their son, Jonathan all of Columbus; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sammy and Ida Middlebrooks of Warm Springs; his sister-in-law, Lynn Merry and her husband, Scott of Pine Mountain; and nieces and nephews Jessica (Zach) Hartley (Raelynn and Chip Hartley), Jacob Foster, Jenne Lee Geter, and Jesse Geter.
