Warrants Issued for Violent Domestic Assault

LaGrange Police have issued warrants for the arrest of a man who allegedly strangled out his wife during a violent domestic altercation.

Tuesday afternoon, about 1:11 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department were called to the 200 block of Union Street in reference to a reports of a domestic assault that occurred the previous night.

Officers made contact with the victim, who reported her husband, Tycorey Stinson, had attacked her physically and strangled her to the point that she lost consciousness.

Police say the investigation revealed that Stinson also prevented Harris from making a 911 call for help and prevented her from leaving the location.

As a result of the intial investigation, warrants have been issued for the arrest of Tycorey Stinson for Aggravated Assault – Family Violence Act, False Imprisonment – Family Violence Act and Interference with an Emergency Assistance Call.

This incident is still under investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
