Earlene Ethel Parker Arrington

Earlene Ethel Parker Arrington, age 82, of West Point, passed away on August 10, 2020. She was born on January 23, 1938 to the late Jackson Parker and Ethel Horton Parker in Randolph County, Alabama. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Byron Cannon; siblings, Charlie Parker, Jr., Irene Veal, Bessie Dion, Hamp Parker, Chester Parker. Survivors include her husband, John Arrington; son, Dwain Johnson; step son, Tony Arrington (Tawana); daughter, Lenora Cannon; step daughter, Rhonda Tate (Darrell); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; extended family and friends. Private services will be held at a later date.


Dearl Lynn Anderson

Dearl Lynn Anderson, of Franklin, Georgia, passed away on August 10, 2020. He was born in Dodge City, Kansas on March 10, 1941 to the late Verril Anderson and Alma Anderson. In addition to his parents Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his son, Steven Craig Anderson and his siblings, Dennis Anderson, Gene Anderson, and Theresa Pitts. Mr. Dearl Lynn Anderson graduated from Plant City High School. He then went on to serve our country with honor in the United States Navy. Following his time in the service, Mr. Anderson continued to serve communities as a Corrections Officer. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Brenda Hughes Anderson; his son, Dennis Anderson, Matthew Lynn Anderson, and Susan Ray (Richard); his grandchildren, Heather Nicole Holcomb, Michael Gray Anderson, Daryl Jay Anderson, Ryan Cody Anderson, Emily Lynn Anderson, Spencer Hugh Ray, Kate Marie Ray, Rachael Denese Ray, Megan Lynn Ray; his 6 great grandchildren. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this challenging time. The family will hold a private memorial service. Mr. Anderson will be laid to rest at Canton National Cemetery.


Jennie Lee Cook (Savage)

Ms. Jenny Lee Savage Cook, of LaGrange, passed away on August 11, 2020. She was born in Newnan on July 18, 1976. She is preceded in death by her mother, Donna Faye Pike and her second mother, Nell Gaddy. She is survived by her father, Jimmy Gaddy; her children, Michael Cook, Chris Phelan (Constance Huskins), Jonathan Cook (Destinie), Matthew Cook (Jennifer McDonald), Dalton Cook, and Daniel Keith; her sister, Kimberly Kent (James); her uncles, Bobby Pike (Patricia Evans), Roger Pike, and Michael Pike (Cynthia); her grandchildren, Alexander Buchanan, Kyelir Cook, Leeland Cook, Caleb Jayce Phelan, Mela Rose Phelan, Derrick Mason Lee Patterson, Michelangelo Lv McDonald, and Aurora Lumanaris Cook. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as they make their way through this challenging time. The family will hold a celebration of life service at Long Cain Lake Access on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. A balloon release and cookout will follow.

Sandra G. Foster

Sandra Gail Foster, 74, of LaGrange, Ga passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Foster was born October 15, 1945 in Randolph County, AL, daughter of the late J. H. Rice and Marie Elizabeth Cosper Rice. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker, dedicating her life to the needs and concerns of her family that she loved so dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, James H. Walker and a daughter, Tammy Lee Molly Schultz. Survivors include her husband, Arthur Foster; children, Gayla (Sam) Taylor, Troy Smith, and Anthony Smith; step daughter, Tammy (Bernie) Anderson; brother, James (Dianna) Rice; sister, Margo Webster; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. The Gathering of family and friends was Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home. The Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00pm Friday, August 14, 2020 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Brian Geter officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens.
