City of LaGrange to Resume Litter Clean-Up
That’s the message the City of LaGrange shared Tuesday as officials expressed excitement over the return of the City’s monthly litter clean-up event.
“The public is invited to join the City of LaGrange for its October monthly litter clean-up event Saturday, October 10th, 8:00-10:00 a.m. in the Hillside community,” the City announced via Facebook. “We will meet in the Health Department parking lot 900 Dallis Street.”
DASH and the Kiwanis Club of LaGrange have partnered with the City of LaGrange for the event. The litter-cleaning event is part of the “Leaving LaGrange Better Than We Found It” campaign started by City Manager Meg Kelsey in 2018. The City kick-started the litter clean-up initiative in 2018 and has enjoyed strong community turn out at the monthly clean-up events.
In their post, the City announced that a schedule for upcoming “litter pickups” will be published soon.
“We are always looking for partners (church groups, civic groups, boy scouts, girl scouts, businesses, schools – EVERYONE!) to help us Leave LaGrange Better Than We Found It!” the City finished in their post.
