Hunt Elected New School Board Chair

During a called meeting on Monday, the Troup County Board of Education elected District 5 Representative Cathy Hunt to serve as the board chair for 2021.

District 3 Representative Brandon Brooks will serve as the board’s vice chair.

New board member Ferrell Blair was sworn in along with Brooks, Hunt, and Joe Franklin, who were reelected to the board in June. Blair was elected to replace retiring Board Chair Kirk Hancock.

The school board will next meet for their regularly-scheduled work session on Jan. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Administrative Services Center on North Davis Road.
