Robert Jeffrey “Jeff” Gough
Mr. Robert Jeffrey “Jeff” Gough, of LaGrange, passed away on January 14, 2021. Mr. Gough was born on September 9, 1965 in Langdale, Alabama to the late Robert Homer Gough and Shirley Hand Gough. He worked for the Berry Corporation as a Maintenance Technician. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Darlene Spradlin Gough; children, Alton Sivell (Beverly), Hunter Gough, Jeff Spradlin and Bruce Spradlin; sisters, Jackie Thrower (Darrell) and Amy Vazquez (Fernando); eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; extended relatives and many friends. Funeral services was held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 4:00 pm at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel where Rev. Lamar Womack and Rev. Jimmy Pruitt officiated. Family received friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until service hour.
Helen Juanita Barnes
Helen Juanita Barnes, 88, of LaGrange, GA passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Twin Fountains Nursing Home. Mrs. Barnes was born March 9, 1932 in LaGrange, GA to the late James Monroe Murphy and Nannelle Thompson Murphy. She was a member of Oakside Baptist Church and retired from Milliken & Company as a hostess at the Design Center and Guest House. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Morris Barnes. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Winifred Will, 83, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021. Mrs. Will was born May 12, 1937 in Jamestown, NY, daughter of the late Edward Welland Kvashay and Vernita Estella Green Kvashay. She was employed with Beechwood Academy as a teacher and later in life choosing to stay home and be a homemaker. In addition to her parents her husband, George Henry Will, preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Martin (Carole) Will, Stephen (Susan) Will, and Ted (Tracey) Will; grandchildren, Katlyn (Abe) Zavala, Stephen Will Jr., Catherine Will (Will McMahan), Martin Will Jr., Jackson Will, and Slaton Will; and siblings, Margaret Dunson, Wanda Dunn, and Bill Kvashay. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 17, 2021 for family and local friends in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, GA. The service will be streamed live on the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Facebook Page: Striffler-Hamby Mortuary – LaGrange.

Jehanna Yolanda Gilliam Davidson
Mrs. Jehanna Yolanda Gilliam Davidson was born November 11, 1959 to Gaynell Boyd and the late John Henry Jones in West Point, Georgia. She was educated in the West Point City Schools and graduated from West Point High School, Class of 1977. Jehanna’s first love came in the form of her daughter, Tawandra; love then came when she was united in Holy Matrimony to Roy Davidson. This union produced her next loves, Royshaka and Roysheka. On Wednesday, January 13, 2021; our beloved Jehanna departed this life at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Georgia. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mozelle Young; uncle, Deacon Donald Gilliam; stepdaughter, Kaysha Davidson; best friend, Angela Williams; special cousins, Reginald Gilliam and Sue Ellen Jones. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Her Husband: Roy Davidson; Children: Tawandra Gilliam, Royshaka (Terence) Gilliam, Roysheka (Amos) Moody; step-children: Cassandra (Al) Lovelace, Roderick (Virginia) Palmer, Tawana (Eric) Brewer, and Marlo Huguley; grandchildren: Daquaius Gilliam, Charles Lovelace, Jr., Jamondai Gilliam, Amoni Moody, Tyler Walker; an array of step-grandchildren; one great grandchild: Kree Gilliam; her beloved mother: Gaynell (Bobby) Boyd; her siblings: Tamarius Gilliam, Lakethcian Gilliam, Chantrice Gilliam, Brenda (Vinson) Jackson, Michael (Julia) Slaughter, Lamar Carracter, Willie Lewis (Linda) Billingslea; one god-child, LaFranco (Miracle) Williams; aunts: Diane McCullough, Barbara Young, Linda Young; special relatives: Chris Gilliam and Bridgette Gilliam; special friends: Gail Murphy, Lavonne Wilson, Dorothy Reed, Valerie Heard, Lisa Trammell, Jeffery Billingslea, Michael Pitts, Kimberly Morgan and Francheska Penn; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
