City of LaGrange to Hold Monthly  Litter Cleanup Saturday, February 27

The City of LaGrange is adding an additional litter cleanup this month *SATURDAY* February 27th, 8-10 a.m. We will meet in the front of Berta Weathersbee Elementary School, 1200 Forrest Avenue in LaGrange.

During this litter cleanup, crews will be picking up litter in the neighborhood near Berta Weathersbee Elementary School around Forrest Avenue and 4th Avenue.

message to the community that the City of LaGrange is serious about cleaning up litter and rolled out the city’s campaign, “Leaving LaGrange Better Than We Found It.” The City of La-Grange closed non-essential business April 20, 2018 and hundreds of employees picked up trash throughout the community. It was so successful with employees and the community that the city decided to hold monthly litter cleanups.

The public is always welcome to participate.

The city will be hosting the following litter cleanups in the future: – Saturday, February 27th, 8-10AM in front of Berta Weathersbee Elementary School, 1200 Forrest Avenue – Saturday, March 6th, 8-10AM at Calumet Park, 109 Union Street. Community Partner is the Calumet Park Neighborhood Association, LaGrange-Troup Chamber Leadership Troup Class of 2020-2021 & Kiwanis Club of LaGrange – Friday, April 23rd, 8AM-1PM, City of La-Grange employees to pick up litter throughout the community. We are looking for community partners for this cleanup!
