Billy Ray Brazeal

Billy Ray Brazeal, age 79, of LaGrange, passed away on February 23, 2021. He was born on June 14, 1941 to the late Bill Brazeal and Edna Dobbs Brazeal in Franklin, GA. Mr. Billy had a long history serving the LaGrange community. He was employed with the LaGrange Fire Department in January 1967, then transferred to the LaGrange Police Department in February 1979. Six year later, in January of 1985 he was promoted to Detective on the Vice Squad. He retired on March 18, 1996 after nearly 30 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Billee Faye Scarborough Brazeal; sons, Sean Brazeal (Michelle) and Frankie McDonald (Beth); daughter, Joyce Humphries (Bob), and Sandee Campbell; sister, Patsy Pike; grandchildren, Warren Duffey, Heather Lindsey, and Kalista Lindsey; extended family, Rick and Melinda Haymond. Family had visitation from 12:00 – 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand. Funeral service began at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Private entombment followed at Restlawn Memory Gardens.

Bathsheba Allecia Davidson

Bathsheba Allecia Davidson was born November 12, 1989 to Rickey Davidson and the late Linda Davidson in Troup County, Georgia. She was reared in a Christian home and joined the Church at an early age. Bathsheba was educated in the Troup County School System and graduated from Troup High School, Class of 2011. Everybody who knew Bathsheba, knew that she had a sweet and kind spirit and loved everyone. She was a true Auburn Fan, and was always saying, “War Eagle”. You never knew when she was going to Facebook you  “Hi”; but that was her character, a fun loving, silly, and very family oriented. She was loved by many and we will surely miss her. She was truly our QUEEN SHEBA! On Tuesday afternoon, February 15, 2021; Bathsheba departed this earthly home to her Mansion in the sky. In addition to her mother, Linda; she was preceded in death by her sister, Shauntonia Tiobe Davidson; grandmother, Annie Lou Davidson Frazier; grandfather, Charles Davidson; uncle, Jimmie Jackson; aunt, Rosiland Lovelace; and uncle, Casey Howard. She leaves to cherish her memories, her father, Rickey (Darryl Marie) Davidson; two brothers:  Rico (Brittany) Davidson and Deshawn Avery; her step sisters:  Jaleesa Holloway, Sheriovanna Jones, and Tokeyah Jones; step brothers:  Kowaski Jones and Jarrad Holloway; niece, Laila Davidson and Charleigh Anderson; nephew, Devontra Murphy; special cousins:  Tori Davidson, Michelle Davidson and Kizzie Jackson; aunts:  Gwendolyn (David) Harrison, Shirley Booker, Shirley Jackson, Diane Hawkin; uncle, Tony Davidson; and a host of relatives and friends.

 

John Henry Gilbert

Mr. John Henry Gilbert, son of the late Mr. Essie B. Gilbert and Mrs. Mattie Eunice Gilbert, was born September 27, 1945 in Troup County, Georgia. He united with the St. Paul C. M. E. Church at an early age. On Friday, February 19, 2021; our beloved John passed away at his home in LaGrange, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters:  Mattie Sellars, Mary Moss, Essie Mae Gilbert; three brothers:  Joe Gilbert, Henry Gilbert, and Horace Gilbert; brother-in-law, Tommy Lee Moss. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Viola Nellon Gilbert; his daughter, Annie (Shawn) Jackson; grandchildren:  Christopher Calloway and Damos Jackson; his extended family:  Leavelle Norwood, Sherika (Marcus) Thomas, Cathy Menandez, Amos (Mae) Clark, Willie (Pam) Clark, and their children; his brothers:  Rev. Tommy (Gaynell) Gilbert, Eddie B. Reed, Rev. C. F. Reed, Willie (Judy) Reed, and James Reed; his sisters:  Mary (Anthony) Cunningham, Betty Shavers, Mattie Reed, Ollie Gilbert, Gail (Nathaniel) Tatum, and Christine Gilbert; brother-in-law, Arthur Sellars; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; and a special friend, Mr. Willie Calloway.
