Ida Mae Patillo Ms. Ida Mae Patillo was born April 13, 1942 in West Point, Georgia to the parentage of the late Berry Patillo and Louise Hutchison- Smith. She united with the Jehovah Baptist Church at an early age. Later in life, Mother Patillo was a faithful member of the House of Prayer Worship Center until her health declined. “Big Girl", as she was auection ately known, retired from West Point Pepperell’s Dun- son Mill after twenty-five plus years of service. On Saturday, June 5, 2021; she departed this life at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Monica M. Patillo; son-in-law, Jessie Harris; two grandsons: Willie Carnell Shells and Johnny Patillo, Jr.; one granddaughter, Shantoyia Dennis: twin sister, Fannie Mae Patillo; along with several other siblings including, her sisters: Bessie O’Neal and Dorothy Mae Patillo; brothers, Arthur Patillo, Sr., Emmanuel Patillo, Sr., and Dave Patillo. She leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her legacy, four sons: Alvin Williams and Arthur Patillo, Columbus, GA; Johnny Patillo, LaGrange, GA; and Willie C. Patillo, Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Ethel Mae Harris; three additional generations including twenty- two grandchildren, twenty- six great grandchildren, and twenty-two great-great grandchildren; a very special nephew that was dear to her heart, Ernest (Carol) Patillo; three sisters: Josephine Marshall, Chattanooga, TN; Betty Jean Heard, West Point, GA; and Rosa Reid, LaGrange, GA; two brothers, Willie Joe Patillo, Riverdale, GA; and Ernest Patillo, Chattanooga, TN; along with an array of nieces, nephews, and relatives.
