Echols Hart, 82, of Pine Mountain, GA passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at Hospice LaGrange. Echols was born November 17, 1939 in Pine Mountain, GA. He was the son of the late William Hart and Rebecca Tucker Hart Kirby. Echols was employed with Milliken and Company, Elm City Plant, as Department Manager before retiring. He attended Oak Grove Congregational Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Linda Hart; granddaughter, Sierra Cofield; God-daugh ters, Amy (Pete) Wiggins and family and Meg (David) McClendon and family; devoted friends, Chris and Katie Cofield, Phil King, Randall Seward, Athel Butts, Ricky Cason, Mitch Alsobrooke, Thomas Pannell, James Tucker family, Rochelle Brooks and family, and George and Marilyn Grivth; and his devoted and loyal animals, Annie, Fritz, Bella, and Serena. The Celebration of Life service was held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 30, 2021 in the Chapel of Striwer-Hamby Mortu ary, LaGrange, GA with Rev. Joel Chapman ovci ating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Congregational Christian Church Cemetery, Pine Mountain, GA.
The gathering of family and friends was on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Harris County Animal Shelter, Harris County Humane Society, or Oak Grove Congregational Christian Church in memory of Echols Hart.
