Police Investigating Gunshot Fired into Hospital

LaGrange Police are investigating why a gunshot was dangerously fired into a patient’s room at the hospital and who may have done so.

Late Friday night, about 11:40 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the Well-Star West Georgia Medical Center on Vernon Road in reference to reports of a gunshot into a patient room.

Police arrived and confirmed that a single bullet entered the window of a patient’s room.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

This incident is currently under active investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
